Selecting Photos for an Album
1 - To select a single photo, click on it. The photo will have a line around it.
- To select all photos between the current one selected, and another photo, click on the first photo (a), then hold the Shift key down and click on the other photo. (b)
- To select only some of the photos, click on the first, (a) then hold the Command (Apple) key down while clicking on additional photos.(c)
2 - Once you have selected your photos, hold your pointer over one of the selected items then press the mouse down and slide it towards an album. (This is sometimes called drag and drop.)

4 - If you are not comfortable with dragging the photos, after selecting them, create a new Album this way:
a - Click on “File”
b - Select “New Album From Selection”
3 - Note: as you drag photos, you should see a translucent copy of the photos, and the number (a) you are dragging will show up. When you move over the Library area, you should also see a plus sign (b).
Be sure the album you want to drop the photos into has a circle (c) around it before you release the pointer. Else iPhoto will create a new untitled album and place the photos in it instead.

5 - Name your Album.
6 - Click to put a check-mark inside the box: “Use selected items”.
7 - Select “Create”.
Your album will be created and added to the Albums list in the left column.
